We started our small farm when we bought 8.5 acres of land in Milliken, Colorado in 2009.  We had been on a journey that had opened our eyes to the unsustainable and unhealthy way our food is being grown, raised and processed.  We bought land with the plan to be as self sustainable as possible by raising and growing our own food and to have some room for our boys to grow.   Needless to say it has been a learning process and we grow each year as we learn more and try new things.  We have been raising and butchering chickens and turkeys for our family for several years now and wanted to be able to provide the same great meat we eat all year to other families as well and decided to expand.   All our animals are raised on pasture and happily roam all day.  They are all hormone and antibiotic free.

The mission on our farm is to honor God by growing and raising animals the way God intended them to be raised by treating them humanely and feeding them the food they were designed to eat.  We intend to continually learn how to improve our farms grasses and soils which will in turn produce healthier animals.  Our farm is also a place for our boys to grow up and become godly men.  We are incredibly grateful to God for giving us this opportunity to live, raise our boys, and produce healthy food on Brazen Farm.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  I Thessalonians 5:16-18
